CLIENT: Starkey Hearing Aids

A premier provider of hearing aids, in 2002 Starkey wanted to create a site that would reach out to baby-boomers and transcend the perception of hearing aids as last-resort devices for the hard-of-hearing that were embarrassing to wear and didn’t really work.

In a bold move, they asked us to create a consumer platform to skewer those perceptions, focusing on education instead of sales. The site we created was fresh, bright and real, taking on the stigmas with provocative questions and forthright answers in an open, friendly and highly knowledgeable tone. Starkey was so happy with the site that it was in place for over five years.
